From Bondi to Bronte
Mid-2025 I had to opportunity to be in Sydney for a few days with very few plans other than to visit the art gallery to see the Archibalds, probably ride a ferry, eat good food, and see friends.
Mid-2025 I had to opportunity to be in Sydney for a few days with very few plans other than to visit the Art Gallery of NSW to see the Archibalds, probably ride a ferry, eat good food, see friends, and then fly on to Queensland.
The weather was perfect for a walk, so we set off from Bondi Beach towards Bronte Beach, with a stop off at Tamarama for some brunch. All very civilised. These are some of the photos I grabbed along the way. Mostly capturing the stunning ocean views. But also this, a perfect display of the Australian way of making fun of your friends. The piss-take. The jibe. The dig. But affectionately.

And, as always, someone had popped a "Nett hier. Aber waren Sie schon mal in Baden-Württemburg?" sticker up. "Nice here. But have you been to Baden-Württemburg?" - an, in my opinion, genius tourism marketing strategy for the German state in the south. If you start paying attention, you'll see these stickers everywhere.

Here's a better photo of one for reference, taken in not-Sydney.
