Travel Train Street, Hanoi The train approached. Slowly, but in that clearly unstoppable way. Rails bending as each bogie rolled past, all within easy reach.
Travel Waterfalls and boats I collected some photos of waterfalls at Hartley's Creek and Cassowary Falls, and some photos from the boat that took us to the reef.
Travel Trento. And surrounds. We headed out of Venice in a hire-car (not organised by us, so it wasn't a Lancia Shitbox) and into the hills. It felt less and less like Italy the further into the hills we went, but I can't really put my finger on what it felt more like.
Travel Venezia. I didn't fall in love with Venice, and after the three nights I was well and truly ready to go somewhere else. That else was up into the Dolomites. The last stop of the trip.
Travel Sicily. I don't think I was scared. Maybe a little. Maybe I'd read too many novels set on Sicily. Stepping off the ferry in Messina I kept my bags close.
Travel Animal Special. Here is a collection of animals that I photographed on the trip around Italy. I didn't ask all of their names. The ones I did ask didn't answer - obviously they don't speak English, so it makes sense.
Travel Pompeii. Napoli. I didn't find Pompeii particularly photogenic. So I didn't spend a lot of time documenting it. Napoli, however. What a place! Gritty, grimy, interesting.
Travel Copenhagen. Hannover. Hannover was a surprise. I'd never really thought of Germany as a holiday destination, but I'm really glad I went.
