Norway

I've been very fortunate to have spent the last 3 weeks travelling around Europe. Parts have been travelling alone. Parts with friends. And parts with Jean. I've visited Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, and Italy. Italy has been the most comprehensively visited country of the trip, with Rome, Pompei(i) and Naples, Catania and Palermo on Sicily, Venice, and finally Trento visited..

I have mostly-diligently documented these places with a camera, and I hope to share some highlights - city by city or area by area - with you over the coming weeks. An email per week per area or thereabouts. A mix of camera and mobile phone photos. The occasional selfie. The occasional bit of street art. The occasional activism sticker. The occasional "Nett hier" sticker.

This first installment is from Norway. A new place for me. Aside from the occasional Amazing Race leg and Scandi-noir TV show, I did not know what to expect at all.

A friend picked me up from Farhult where I was staying with family, and we drove up to Oslo. By Australian measures, it felt quite close - 6 hours or so. Easily done when the conversation flows and there's plenty to catch up on.

Right. Some photos:

Copenhagen and Hannover will be the next email. Stand by.
